Chatime – Get Bubbly

Chatime

Some people don’t “get” bubble tea. For the rest of us, there’s Chatime, the ultimate bubble tea shop. Since 2003, authentically Taiwanese Chatime has set up over 1000 stores internationally, and opened its first bubble tea shop in the UK in 2012. Inspired by modernised Taiwanese bubble tea culture and all its fresh, healthful flavours, Chatime opened its doors to those in love with the chewy, jelly texture of tapioca beads. Today, there are branches in Soho, Chinatown, Brunswick, Portobello road and Nottingham.

So what keeps the more than 350 000 daily customers coming back for more bubbly goodness? Well, computerised tea brewing machines that rival the fanciest espresso makers, the highest quality tea and the literally infinite combinations of flavours and toppings. A bubble tea from Chatime is the perfect midday snack – healthy and refreshing, you could whip together a different combination every time you come.

Start with 12 different tea types in 63 varieties, then finish off with 8 different topping options and you get the opportunity for infinite ways to express your creativity. The roasted milk tea with grass jelly is a popular combo and supremely uplifting on a hot day. Take matcha, green tea or black tea and then choose latte, coffee, mousse, fruit or milky varieties. Top with pearl, coconut jelly, grass jelly, pearl, aloe vera, red bean, rainbow jelly, pudding, coffee jelly and more and then add a few blocks of ice for a unique creation that matches your mood.

The great thing about bubble tea is that it’s surprisingly low calorie and a delicious way to get antioxidants and vitamins into your diet. You won’t get to the bottom of your first bubble tea before you get an idea for a fresh new combination to make the next time round…
