Game Bars in London

Nowadays a bar or a pub isn’t just a place you go to have a drink with your mates. Instead, these places have evolved into so much more, with games ranging from pingpong and beer pong, to playing pool or golf – all inside a bar. Here is our list of fun game bars in London that know how to do entertainment – now all you have to do is drink, relax, and play.

First on the list is Bounce; the Home of Ping Pong. Where better to play ping pong than the exact location it was invented in? This cool spot has 17 top quality ping pong tables and no shortage of ping pong balls. Music gets louder as the night goes on and the atmosphere is always buzzing. So whether your a pro or just want to have a fun game with friends, Bounce is a great place and game bar in London. Also, if your hungry you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant.

Simmons Bar in Kings Cross is not known for being a game bar, but hiding in the corner is a SEGA megadrive. Get nostalgic while you flip through your favourite childhood games and play alone or with a friend. This 50s themed joint only has 6 bowling lanes (and 2 private lanes), but has a lot to offer. Before you bowl, you can grab a drink from the bar (Aloha Jar is a must), a bite from the diner, take a couple of snaps in their photo booth, or choose from the yummy American candy and chocolate selection they have. It can get quite busy and because it’s small, its always a good idea to book in advance. A great game bar in London where you can eat, drink, and bowl.

Next up is the pop up Swingers in Shoreditch. This crazy golf place is sure to guarantee you a wild night. Not really any other place in London like it, Swingers is unique. Play a game of mini golf with your friends in the 9-hole crazy golf course, then have a drink at the bar and a bite to eat from Patty & Bun. There’s also a 10th hole that’s a cross between skittles and golf, where you can win a £100 bar tab. Don’t bother just showing up there hoping to get in, this place gets booked months in advance. It is a little easier to find tickets to the bar, while the crazy golf ones are a little harder.

This kitchen, bar and game room in London is inspired by none other than Ping Pong and is our favourite spot for a good old game of beer pong. Complete with the original American solo cups, many ping pong tables (and two beer pong tables if needed), Ping delivers the beer in an awesome beer jug. The atmosphere is always great here with the music pumping, the place is decorated with a lot of funky art, the lights above the ping pong tables give it a cool glow and the staff are always friendly. If your a ping pong champ then don’t forget to sign up to their Tournament Thursdays. Besides the ping pong tables, Ping do have two arcade racing games as well. For the ping pong tables, Ping works on a first serve, first come basis. This is a bit of a problem as it packs up pretty fast, so to ensure you reserve a table, get there early!

There aren’t many places you can go where you can bowl while watching a live gig at the same time, which makes Brooklyn Bowl so cool.
