Very Merry Markets – London’s Best Christmas Markets 2014

It’s finally the most wonderful time of the year again and one way of getting into the Christmas spirit is by visiting some of London’s best Christmas markets. London offers some of the most magical Christmas markets to choose from, which have everything from horse drawn carriage rides, Christmas shopping stalls, and most importantly, an abundance of mulled wine and Christmas treats. Here is a list of some of London’s best Christmas Markets this year:

WINTER WONDERLAND

The name says it all. Located right in the heart of London in Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland is getting bigger and better each year.  The Bavarian Village, Circus shows, and a visit to the man behind the magic in Santa’s Grotto, are just a few of the many attractions that make this wonderland so wonderful. Head over to the Ice Bar and receive a complimentary drink with your ticket upon entry into the glistening arctic experience. Enjoy the festive fare while exploring the many festive market stalls for little treasures to take home. And if you’re more of an adrenaline junkie you’ll want to take advantage of the all thrilling attractions and rides the park has to offer. Being one of London’s busiest markets, you’ll want to book in advance for some of the popular attractions like the Magical Ice Kingdom, Zippos Circus, and the Ice Skating rink.

Free admission.

If you feel overwhelmed from hunting down the Hot Chocolate trail, you can end your day at the Cocoa Spa with fancy cocoa butter beauty treatments. Alternatively you can roll on over to the Roller Disco for some energetic freestyle and choreographed skating performances, which also host club nights. With all that said, Winterville still offers the classic Christmas market staples, like the ice rink, Ferris wheel and market stalls. And don’t forget to check out all the food and drink, hosting street food vendors such as Voodoo Rays infamous pizzeria, and the Craft Beer Area’s abundance of local brews.
